Understand basic subject pronouns and master the conjugation of the irregular verb "sein" (to be).
To construct simple introductory descriptions, you need personal pronouns and the verb sein (to be).
Personal Pronouns
• ich (I)
• du (you, informal singular)
• er / sie / es (he / she / it)
• wir (we)
• ihr (you all, informal plural)
• sie / Sie (they / you, formal)
Present Tense Conjugation of "sein"
• ich bin (I am)
• du bist (you are)
• er/sie/es ist (he/she/it is)
• wir sind (we are)
• ihr seid (you all are)
• sie/Sie sind (they/you are)
Example Contexts
• Ich bin müde. (I am tired.)
• Bist du aus München? (Are you from Munich?)
• Sie ist sehr freundlich. (She is very friendly.)
