Reflexive Verben
Learn how to conjugate and use reflexive pronouns like mich, dich, and sich.
Reflexive verbs show that the subject is performing the action on itself.
Reflexive Pronouns (Accusative)
• ich ... mich (myself)
• du ... dich (yourself)
• er/sie/es ... sich (himself/herself/itself)
• wir ... uns (ourselves)
• ihr ... euch (yourselves)
• sie/Sie ... sich (themselves/yourself formal)
Common Reflexive Verbs
• sich freuen (to be happy / look forward to)
• sich waschen (to wash oneself)
• sich beeilen (to hurry)
Example Contexts
• Ich wasche mich. (I wash myself.)
• Wir freuen uns auf den Urlaub. (We look forward to the vacation.)
• Du musst dich beeilen! (You must hurry up!)
